DVD Death Watch?

A fascinating article on the relatively short lifespan for DVDs, published on EW.com: http://tinyurl.com/yxo3k8.

Blu-Ray and other physical formats may not lead to it’s demise as quickly as the expansion of broadband, storage capacities, and video providers. How long until Netflix really becomes a Netflix and offers download rentals or purchases?
