I grew up with Marvel and D.C. comics, so I'm probably biased toward color. I guess I don't have an issue with Anime being produced by artists and writers outside Japan. Purists of any art form will probably point to the cultural forces that gave birth to that form of expression, and deny that outsiders can replicate or contribute to the art.
