Zotero and Turabian style

Posted by comartslibrarian on October 10, 2007

While teaching a divinity class last night, a student asked whether Zotero — a bibliographic management plugin for Firefox — could output citations in Turabian style.

At the moment, no, though Zotero does support APA, MLA, and Chicago among other styles. One workaround for the time being is to use Zotero to import and store your citations, then export these into some other manager, such as RefWorks, which our library subscribes to. This way, your citations are backed up in RefWorks and users can output to Turabian or numerous other styles very easily while still enjoying the superior importing capabilities of Zotero itself.
